Maximo Cool Vest

I’m a 28 year old woman from Brisbane, Australia who suffers from Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) and practices ballet. The combination of Brisbane weather and serious heat intolerance means a hot day can be absolutely debilitating for me. I found the Oro sports vest because I was looking for something that wasn’t too bulky and would not embarrass me if I wore it in public or at ballet class. This product is really good, not only does it look great and is really well made structurally but the gel inserts keep me cool for hours, even without aircon.
If I had to find fault with the vest it would be that it is designed as unisex and does not take a woman’s chest into account. On me it does not cool my entire front uniformly as my chest distorts the shape. But this is just nitpicking, the vest still works great. The only cool vests available in Australia are made for construction workers so I was really excited to see something designed specifically for sport (the freedom of movement is great!)

As a Solar professional constantly working on a hot roof in the sun I can attest that the Maximo Cooling Vest is a terrific product. Personally it helps me keep my cool and temper, especially on those miserable hot days. They effectively cool your core temperature for 2-3 hours, perhaps even longer, depending on your wearing habits. I keep mine in a cooler in my car til the heat is unbearable and then wear it and even after 3 hours in the car its still effective. For those working long hours in the heat I would recommend getting extra cool packs to swap out after they lose their cool, as I do.

I am a Florida runner & I did a ton of research on all types of cooling vests before purchasing this one. The features that sold me on this model were that it was designed specifically for sports & that it was available in smaller sizes. I ordered based on the size chart & it fits perfectly, is well-made, stays put, and does not chafe. The cooling packs work really well & last for an hour run in the Florida heat (they may last longer but I havent tested the vest for any longer runs). The packs also do not get your clothes wet as they thaw which is really nice. I’m really glad I ordered this vest & will be using it for years to come!

I cannot say enough good things about these products. Super cold and very effective and it doesn’t get in the way of me riding my horses (in the Florida heat and humidity). I searched the internet to find the right vest for athletes and I think I found it! Thanks!
